Overview
SoundWaveClock.exe is a small creative-coding experiment that explores what happens when a familiar object — a digital clock — becomes something more fluid and interactive.
Instead of treating time as static numbers, the project combines the clock with adjustable visual parameters, allowing its appearance and movement to be manipulated in real time.
Shaping time
The interface exposes a small set of controls for amplitude, period and weight, alongside direct control over the displayed time.
Changing those values transforms the behaviour of the visual system, turning the clock into something that can be played with rather than simply read.
A play control adds another layer of movement, making the piece feel closer to an instrument or visual experiment than a conventional clock.
Interaction
I intentionally kept the interface minimal.
Rather than explaining every parameter, the project encourages experimentation: move a value, observe how the system reacts, and gradually understand the relationship between the controls and the resulting form.
Outcome
SoundWaveClock.exe was an experiment in combining time, motion and user-controlled parameters inside a simple web interface.
It helped me explore how even a very familiar piece of information can become expressive when its visual rules are exposed to the user.
