Before a viewer notices shapes or composition, they instinctively react to color.
It bypasses logic and lands straight in the emotions - warmth, tension, calmness, excitement.
Color sets the expectation of a scene before anything else does.
2. Warm vs. Cool - The Emotional Spectrum
Warm colors (reds, oranges, yellows) tend to feel:
- energetic
- intimate
- inviting
Cool colors (blues, teals, purples) often communicate:
- calm
- distance
- melancholy
- clarity
A slight shift can drastically change the atmosphere.
A blue with a hint of green suddenly feels eerie.
